Joe Giangreco has been residing in West Hartford since 2007 and joined West Hartford Little League in 2009 to coach his two boys, Sam (14) and Jacob (10). Joe has coached at the Instructional, Minors, AAA and Majors divisions throughout his eight years of coaching in WHLL and is currently head coaching his son Jacob's team in AAA. Prior to becoming President of WHLL in September of 2015, Joe served as the League's Fundraising Chairman.
His passion for the game started when he was a little kid growing up in Newington and playing in Newington Little League and Alumni, which he loved. His desire to coach in West Hartford and now serve as President, is driven by his love for the game as a kid as well as now and wanting to give what he's learned and experienced back to his own kids as well as the close to 600 other West Hartford Little League players. Joe thoroughly enjoys the diversity of players from both a personality and skill/competitive standpoint WHLL's players possess and has enjoyed coaching and meeting a new group of players and families in his now eighth year in the League. West Hartford Little League is built on the foundation of providing a fair and competitive outlet for each and every player in its League. Joe believes this League not only provides kids the opportunity to improve their baseball skills and build long and lasting friendships, but also creates an environment for kids to develop strong life learning lessons and become better individuals all around. Most of all, the kids have fun during the entire process. That's what it's all about.
Giangreco is honored and feels privileged to have been selected as its current President.
